The collection includes handwritten manuscripts of the first twelve chapters of Bickerstaffe-Drew's novel Fernando (circa 1919, published under the pseudonym John Ayscough) and a scrapbook assembled by Bickerstaffe-Drew (circa 1880s-1921).
The James Pye Neale, SJ Papers consist primarily of correspondence to his mother Sarah Neale from 1856 to 1894 while she was living in Hearne, Texas. Fr. Neale focuses on updates regarding family and friends in his earlier letters (-1876) and transitions into discussing his missionary work in the parishes (namely St. Inigoes) as his time in the Society progresses.
The Michael de la Bedoyere papers primarily contain correspondence received from editors and colleagues of the Catholic Herald, as well as from other Catholic journals. Of interest is the correspondence exchanged between Count de la Bedoyere and the Catholic Herald concerning his resignation. Included is correspondence from several of the publishers of books by Count de la Bedoyere.
