Papers of Erich Wolfgang Isenstead comprising personal correspondence, professional records, photographs, newspapers and printed ephemera regarding his work in postwar Bavaria for the Information Control Division of the Office of Military Government, United States, primarily regarding U.S. efforts toward denazification and reconstruction of Germany's press, broadcast media, and other cultural infrastructure.
The collection consists of the personal papers of William Harding Jackson. Correspondents include President Eisenhower, Constantine FitzGibbon, Arthur Gardner, Gordon Gray, and Richard M. Nixon, among others. A run of letters regarding Wendell Willkie's 1940 presidential campaign is also included among the documents. Some typed manuscripts by Jackson, a few photographs of him, and a series of printed materials round out the collection.
The collection comprises the extensive research files of journalist/historian Daniel James on Che Guevara, the Mexican Communist Party (Partido Comunista Mexicano), and in general on Latin American and Caribbean political affairs from 1960 to 1985.
The collection primarily consists of interviews conducted by James H. Jones with medical professionals who were responsible for the care of David Vetter. Vetter suffered from severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) and was popularly known as the "Bubble Boy." The interviews were conducted in 2001 for a book that was ultimately not completed. Additionally, the collection contains audiovisual materials and photographs related to Vetter.
