Alfred Isacsson Papers
Collection-level Scope and Content Note
The Alfred Isacsson Papers represent the research files of Alfred Isacsson, a scholar of the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. The collection includes extensive correspondence between Isacsson and other Civil War historians and Lincoln assassination experts, including Margaret K. Bearden, John C. Brennan, Helen J. Campbell, Otto Eisenschiml, Frederick Hatch, Richard D. Mudd, Floyd E. Risvold, and Richard Sloan. Subject files regarding John Surratt and the Surratt Society are also included. In addition, a few manuscripts and printed items about the Lincoln assassination are present. Of interest to historians is a set of 44 audio cassette tapes dating mostly to the 1970s concerning various aspects of the Lincoln assassination. The Alfred Isacsson Papers are stored in 6 archival boxes (2.5 linear feet).

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections.
