The collection primarily consists of interviews conducted by James H. Jones with medical professionals who were responsible for the care of David Vetter. Vetter suffered from severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) and was popularly known as the "Bubble Boy." The interviews were conducted in 2001 for a book that was ultimately not completed. Additionally, the collection contains audiovisual materials and photographs related to Vetter.
The collection comprises the extensive research files of journalist/historian Daniel James on Che Guevara, the Mexican Communist Party (Partido Comunista Mexicano), and in general on Latin American and Caribbean political affairs from 1960 to 1985.
The James T. Clements' Sons Funeral Home Records consist of ledgers documenting the costs for funeral expenses and certificates of death for individuals whose families used the company's services. The funeral expenses were maintained in ledgers while the death certificates are in partly printed formant. The funeral home was located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The records date from 1875 to 1945.
The James E. Scanlon papers are comprised primarily of notebooks, exams, manuscripts of term papers, and syllabi from undergraduate courses taken at Georgetown University between 1958 and 1962, Also included is correspondence from the Dean of Admissions, material on the student Library Committee, and various Georgetown University publicaitons.
