The collection contains memorabilia and photographs related to the administration of Harry S. Truman and U.S. Presidential inaugurations, especially the 1961 inauguration. These items were collected by John W. Snyder, who served as Truman's Secretary of the Treasury and was a member of the 1961 inaugural Committee.
