The papers primarily document his post-CIA work as a writer and historian on U.S. intelligence and foreign affairs, especially CIA operations in Cuba in the 1960s. These items were collected by John W. Snyder, who served as Truman's Secretary of the Treasury and was a member of the 1961 inaugural Committee. It also contains a set of portrait engravings of every U.S. President through John F. Kennedy (as well as a portrait of Snyder and a portrait of Alexander Hamilton).

The collection documents the career of mezzo-soprano Sylvia V.C. Twine.
