Scope and Contents

A softcover copy of American diplomat Albert Rhodes’ book Monsieur at Home (1885) bound in leather with 24 handwritten letters tipped in – presumably a presentation or office copy made by Rhodes himself. The letters, dated 1884-5, are copies of correspondence Rhodes sent to his publishers, the Leadenhall Press (Field & Tuer) and discuss the book’s production.

Scope and Contents Leather-bound 3-hole binder containing the typed diary of American scientist and explorer Arthur J. Moulton. The text describes a sea journey from New York to Europe, followed by a tour through Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia in his Simplex automobile, including maps highlighting the roads he took. Scope and Contents 58 pieces of correspondence from the papers of artist, sculptor, and founding member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood Thomas Woolner, the vast majority of which are letters to and from Woolner or his wife Alice Gertrude Woolner (neé Waugh). Scope and Contents A collection of materials related to American poet Ned O’Gorman. The bulk of the collection revolves around a trip O’Gorman took to China in 1973 and 1974: a disbound travel journal with disorganized notes and thoughts, and a series of 92 Kodakchrome and Ektachrome slides, 110 size, some in 2x2 mounts and some without.
