Atomic Energy

The papers include a large quantity of Amrine's literary manuscripts, together with correspondence, print and near print material relating to a number of subjects, most importantly, atomic energy research and development.

Correspondents include: Albert Einstein, Hans Bethe, Harold Urey, Thomas Hart Benton, and William Allen White. Other materials include a collection of black-and-white photographs relating to Amrine's research interests and interviews recorded on tape.

The collections consists of the "Report to the Atomic Energy Commission. The Master Plan, Oak Ridge, Tennessee" and the "Report to the Atomic Energy Commission the Preliminary Master Plan, Oak Ridge, Tennessee. New York, Chicago, San - Francisco: Skidmore, Owings & Merrill for the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission, 1948."

Also includes photographs and the resume of William R. Ewald, Jr., who was a writer and researcher on this project for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
