Alfred E. Smith Scrapbooks and Photographs
The collection consists of scrapbooks and photographs documenting the career of Alfred E. Smith. The scrapbooks span Smith's political career from 1913 through his unsuccessful U.S. presidential campaign in 1928. They contain newspaper clippings, letters, photographs, and other materials. The photographs document both his professional and personal life. The collection includes a small quantity of correspondence with politicians such as Nelson A. Rockefeller and Robert F. Wagner.
John W. Snyder Collection on U.S. Presidents
The collection contains memorabilia and photographs related to the administration of Harry S. Truman and U.S. Presidential inaugurations, especially the 1961 inauguration. These items were collected by John W. Snyder, who served as Truman's Secretary of the Treasury and was a member of the 1961 inaugural Committee. It also contains a set of portrait engravings of every U.S. President through John F. Kennedy (as well as a portrait of Snyder and a portrait of Alexander Hamilton).
