Abstract

The collection documents the work of the Advisory Committee on Human Radiation Experiments (ACHR). It includes meeting briefing books, drafts of the final report and related records, background materials on experiments, and correspondence of ACHR Executive Director Dan Guttman. Meetings were held between 1994 and 1995, and the collection includes copies of background materials dating back to 1900.

The records belonged to Kathryn Arnow, who was a health policy analyst and Chief of the Program Planning Branch in the office of the Director of the National Institutes of Health in the 1970s.

Bundy (1927-1987) was a professor at the University of Maryland, College Park, College of Library and Information Services. She was also one of the officers of Urban Information Interpreters, Inc., a non-profit organzation that sought to make information services accessible to the urban poor.
