Scope and Contents

Autograph and typed manuscripts of novels and short stories written by Antonia White. Arranged alphabetically by title.

Series includes White's correspondence with Joseph "Peter" Thorp, who had trained as a Jesuit and reached out to her after reading "Frost in May". The letters dating between 1940 to 1942 were published as "The Hound and the Falcon: the Story of a Reconversion to the Catholic Faith" (1966).

This short series includes correspondence from Kathleen Harriman, the Roosevelts, and Robert Sherwood. The series may very well be considered part two of the preceding series since much of the correspondence to HLH is personal.
