General Note From the Series: The Family Correspondence Series primarily consists of letters sent by Martin S. Quigley to his parents while he was on missions in Great Britain, Ireland and Italy during World War II. His letters from Ireland are particularly interesting with references to meetings with Eamon de Valera and other Irish notables. In Italy, Quigley was not able to be as open about his activities in letters home, but he does tell of a personal audience with Pius XII and discusses general conditions in Italy...
