This one box collection is additional material for the John O'Leary Papers. The papers contained here are more personal in nature including handwritten notes and correspondence. There are also items that were added to the collection at a later date. John O'Leary was the U.S. Ambassador to Chile 1998 - 2001.

The series also contains correspondence congratulating O'Leary on his nomination and commenting on his upcoming assignment. The series ends with materials from O'Leary's White House Swearing-in and Reception.
