Scope and Contents

Published sheet music, photocopies, and occasional manuscripts composed by others, including historical composers, Da Costa's teachers, contemporaries, and students. These files also contain copies of violin compositions performed by Da Costa. Additional sheet music can be found under the composer's name in the Individuals files, box 22. Published, bound sheet music, mostly European classical composers (box 32).

Scope and Contents Mixed materials related to Da Costa's career outside of the Academy, including files on his work as director of the Triad Chorale group, as conductor of the Detroit Symphony, as a violinist and studio recording artist. Also includes files on Composers Recordings, Inc. (founded by his teacher Otto Luening), and his own ATSOC, Inc. music publishing concern (box 24).
