Handwritten volume of meditations on free will, salvation, sin and hell, death, marriage, and many other spiritual subjects. Noted by previous archivists as being created by de Neckere while serving at Conewago, either 1849-1858 or 1864-1879.

Primarily comprised of promotional ephemera related to the Booker Prize (1984, 1989, 1997-1998) and the Russian Booker Prize (1994-1997). Also includes three VHS recordings related to the 1998 Booker Prize (ceremony, discussion, and "shorts").

It includes a United States 1893 Columbian Exposition Issue's 1-dollar stamp (Queen Isabella) on an auction card which was sent from H.R. Harmer to Virginia Murrary Bacon in 1946. The collection consists of two manuscript notebooks, including a ghost story and accounts of journeys in England, France, and Italy. In English and Latin. An original pen is attached to one of the notebooks. A typescript of the ghost story is also included in the collection.
