He also discusses the enemies of L'homme as being the doctors and humanists (surrounding an anthropological debate). He discusses the "Convergence" of humans, the contestation surrounding it, and the possibility of going to America to distance himself from the conflict.

Amidst the discussion of the cyclotrons, the National Glacier Park, and les Rocheuses, he discusses how thought, energy, and money have changed humanity. Upon his return to New York, he has begun his questioning of the origin of man in Africa. He mentions the death of his friend, Jouve.

He does this in consolation of Croissant beseeching her to follow the example of Pere Ignace. He also mentions his trip to Capetown and discusses the work he will be doing there.

He discusses the work he will be doing there and delves into a discussion of the converging universe. He highlights the need for a re-evaluation of God in comparison to "l'ancien."

He congratulates her on her marriage as well as offers consolation for her mourning of Tanguy. He alludes to tension in the cortical religion, but then switches to discussion of his friends Monsieur P. Jouve and P. Guillaux.

1 Autographed Letter Signed (in French) dated July 7, 1948 from Pierre Teilhard de Chardin to Adrienne Croissant discussing his upcoming trip to Auvergne and Montfort l'Amaury. He also mentions that he is waiting for the College of France to make a decision regarding his project on the Structure of Humanity before he goes to Rome. If a decision is not made, the responsibility will be given to a Mr. Faral who will work consistently with the Monument Inspetor Mr. Danis.
