Includes a large file of promotional material compiled by Da Costa in support of his promotion to full professor in 1991, a file on Rutgers activities, course notes on music theory, music history, African American music, Jazz studies, and blank exams from his courses. Da Costa's correspondence from Rutgers is located in box 25. Additional notes and articles on African American music are in box 27.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval.
