Scope and Contents
Series III of the Montague Summers papers contains off-prints, articles, publishers' prospectuses, playbills and theatre programmes, galley proofs, news clippings and other printed ephemera collected by Summers. A small number of photographs, most intended for use in publication, is included in this series. Of particular note is the extensive collection of theatre programmes and playbills, which includes examples from Summers' own theatre societies that are not listed in d'Arch Smith's bibliography.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. For use of all manuscripts collections, researchers are advised to contact the Booth Family Center for Special Collections in advance of any visit.
