Scope and Contents This item includes two documents: a song for voice and piano on a signed manuscript score with lyrics in French and German, and the original poem by Silvestre in German translation on a separate leaf. The German lyrics and the poem differ slightly (e.g., in word order). The handwriting of the poem and the German lyrics on the score appear to be identical and may be that of Bernhard Wolff, who arranged the song (and 9 others) for piano for the publisher Fürstner circa 1893-1894.
