Yemeni Haggadah Manuscript

 Collection — Volume 1: [Barcode: 39020031848651]
Identifier: GTM-20160609
Scope and Contents A bound manuscript on paper of the 18th or 19th century containing a Passover Haggadah of the Yemeni rite, with liturgy in Hebrew and instruction in Judeo-Arabic. The text is somewhat condensed, and contains a high number of abbreviations in the Hebrew. Catchwords are present throughout, including on the final page, suggesting that the volume may be incomplete -- though the last prayer recorded here, the Nishmat, is usually found at the conclusion of the Passover seder or ceremonial meal....
