A journal written by Fr. Duncan that includes discussion of varied topics such as house visitors, the weather, his travels, and generally ministering to the parishioners of St. Mary's. While he writes in detail of paying off debt surrounding the construction of the new church in 1877, he also continues to include contemporary politics such as the death of Louis-Napoléon in 1879, the assassination of President Garfield in 1881, and the Anglo-Egyptian War in 1882.
