A bound manuscript on paper containing a copy of Swinburne's "A Ballad of Life" written and bound by British artist Allan Gwynne-Jones in September of 1909. The text is written in black ink a faux-medieval calligraphic style with the opening words of each stanza in gold. The binding is of stiff vellum with green silk ties, now somewhat faded and damaged. 8 leaves plus some blanks.

Scope and Contents A bound manuscript on paper of the 18th or 19th century containing a Passover Haggadah of the Yemeni rite, with liturgy in Hebrew and instruction in Judeo-Arabic. The text is somewhat condensed, and contains a high number of abbreviations in the Hebrew. Catchwords are present throughout, including on the final page, suggesting that the volume may be incomplete -- though the last prayer recorded here, the Nishmat, is usually found at the conclusion of the Passover seder or ceremonial meal....
