Scope and Contents From the Collection:

The Homer Vaughan Hervey Collection consists of vintage movie posters and film stills from famous Hollywood movies of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Also included in the collection are film stills and movie posters from a few English, French, and Italian films from the same era, as well as from a few American films of the 1930s through early 1960s. The collection is stored in two boxes of film stills and one oversize box of movie posters.

Scope and Contents note From the Collection: The Grenada Documents Collection contains copies of some of the documents which were captured on Grenada by the United States Defense Department when the U. S., at the urging of many of the smaller Caribbean nations, joined a rescue mission to end the rule of the Revolutionary Military Council which had taken control of the country when Maurice Bishop, formerly head of the PRG (People's Revolutionary Government), was assassinated along with many of the people at Fort Rupert in October, 1983,...

Alexander Ward Diaries, 1874 - 1875

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Alexander Ward Papers comprise fifteen autograph diaries of Alexander Ward from 1870 to 1889. The diaries begin while Ward is eighteen and trace his development from a wealthy youth working part-time in a factory to a wealthy land owner doing local magistracy work. The diaries offer us an interesting perspective on the day to day life of a country squire during his early years before his marriage in 1895. The entries are written in a "matter-of-fact" style, often with little commentary....
