Mask and Bauble Dramatic Society: "Assassins" Collection

Scope and Contents

"Assassins", a musical by John Weidman and Stephen Sondheim, was presented by the Mask and Bauble Dramatic Society in 2005. The show was produced by Jamie Gahlon and directed by Micheal Kocher. Included in the collection are a program, an album of color photographs, and a video recording of a performance. Also included is an album of color photographs from an earlier Mask and Bauble presentation of "Assassins" in 1997.

Twenty-two 8x10 original Vandamm Studio photographs documenting the April-May 1932 production of Mourning Becomes Electra performed at the Alvin Theatre, New York City, as well as sets for the Theatre Guild's 1931 production. Includes the theatre program for the 1932 production.

Scope and Contents The Montague Summers papers comprise the surviving collection of letters, manuscripts, and printed ephemera belonging to this popular author at the time of his death in 1948. A significant portion of the collection consists further of the papers of Summers' friend, the English author and literary biographer S.M. Ellis, which came into Summers' possession after Ellis' death in 1933 (Summers dedicated his 1933 anthology, Victorian Ghost Stories, to the memory of S.M.E.)....
