Scope and Contents

The collection consists of the personal papers of William Harding Jackson. Correspondents include President Eisenhower, Constantine FitzGibbon, Arthur Gardner, Gordon Gray, and Richard M. Nixon, among others. A run of letters regarding Wendell Willkie's 1940 presidential campaign is also included among the documents. Some typed manuscripts by Jackson, a few photographs of him, and a series of printed materials round out the collection.

Scope and Contents Papers of Thomas Dawes Blake, a public relations specialist who served in the U.S. State Department in the 1940s. It includes typescripts documenting his time working for the U.S. government during World War II, including his role as assistant to Stephen Early, press secretary to Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the reaction to the death of FDR by White House staff. It also includes a file on the Mexico Water Treaty (1945), a file of memoranda to Col.
