The volume contains approximately 50 songs, roughly half with both music and lyrics and the remainder with lyrics only. Undated, but one portion bears a "J Whatman 1821" watermark and another has a "Smith & Allnutt 1819" watermark.

Note on front cover label, "Autograph 'introduction' written by F Liszt. 2 July 1841. J.J." refers to a manuscript introductory passage tipped inside the cover page of the 1st printed edition of "The Polacca, Son vergin vezzosa" in Bellini’s Grand Opera, I Puritani, Arranged for the Piano Forte, and Dedicated to Madame la Princesse...
