Scope and Contents A collection of materials related to American poet and essayist Eugene Field. An original manuscript poem, “Ye Diuell: & Ye Miller Hys Wiffe”, in thirteen stanzas with marginal annotation in red. Bound in olive morocco with blind tooled decoration and title tooled in gilt. Scope and Contents An autograph book belonging to Lizzie Gilmore of England, and containing more than 40 pages of autographs from various personalities of the British stage in the early 20th century, including music hall and Blackface performer G.H. Elliott (1882-1962), model and chorus girl Pansy Montague a.k.a. “La Milo” (b. 1885), and actress Carrie Moore (1882-1956). Scope and Contents A commonplace book or album c. 1830, once belonging to a young woman from Keene, New Hampshire named Harriet Keyes. The volume is bound in red morocco with gold stamping: floral borders on both front and back covers, the title “Album” on the spine, and the name “Harriet Keyes” added with a simple border in the center of the front cover.
