Scope and Contents The collection contains a number of materials created, owned, or relating to Miss Hilda McMullan (b. circa 1900), between the years 1917 and 1954, including 3 bound diaries detailing various trips around England, a number of loose diary pages with notes on daily activities, a November 1918 edition of Cheer-i-o – the magazine of the Military Orthopaedic Hospital in Shepherd’s Bush, London – signed by Major Walter Hill and several pieces of correspondence addressed to him. Royal Rodney Ingersoll, 1900 - 1901

Scope and Contents

A large quarter-bound “onion skin” journal, containing approximately 50 typed letters to and from Rear Admiral Ingersoll of the US Navy, dated 1900-1. The majority are carbon copies of Ingersoll’s own letters printed into the journal itself, and the remainder are loose sheets with letters addressed to the Admiral. The spine of the volume is stamped “LETTERS” and the majority of the 502 leaves are blank.
