Contains letters to and from Michael Amrine during his education at Columbia University. Includes letters from and to William Allen White, editor of the Emporia (Kansas) Gazette, as well as letters to and from Michael Amrine, Sr., and Mabel F. Amrine. Documents are primarily Typed Letters, with some Autograph Letters included. , 1937-1938

Scope and Contents The papers include a large quantity of Amrine's literary manuscripts, together with correspondence, print and near print material relating to a number of subjects, most importantly, atomic energy research and development. Michael Amrine (1918-1974) began his career in journalism in 1934, working for a number of years with the Federation of Atomic Scientists while editing the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists.
