Notebook, 1882 - 1888
File — Box: GTM Shared Box 52, Folder: 9
Scope and Contents
A notebook containing scientific matters and observations such as notes on an "efficient telephone relay," "powerful permanent magnets," "method of changing grape-sugar or corn-sugar (glucose) into cane sugar (sucrose)," "improvements in telephones," and a "simple electric lamp that will burn longer without change of carbons." This notebook is discussed in a 8-3-1951 letter in this collection: the "diary [is] rather sketchily kept and having to do more with certain electrical inventions in which Father Richards was interested than with anything else ... There is an occasional notation of a person letter sent; otherwise the content is scientific."
