Scope and Contents
Notes and printed material on Mulry and Jesuits in the Philippines, including: "Father 'Pitong' in White Soutane" (Fordham Monthly, 1947); "With the Rains Come Memories" (Jesuit Missions, 1951); "Modern Personalities" (Beyond All Horizons: Jesuits and the Missions, 1957); and "Joseph Mulry, S.J." (The Jesuit: Philippine Province, 1971).
Also includes a pamphlet for the Catholic Home for Aged Ladies, where Mulry gave his first Mass in 1921 (1920); a New York Times obituary for Mulry (1945); portions of an interview with Fr. Richard T. McSorley that recalls his and Mulry's imprisonment in Los Baños (1981); biographical notes on the Mulry family (1986); and reminiscences of Mulry by Rev. Robert E. Sheridan, MM (1986) and an unknown Jesuit (no date).
Further, there is a manuscript entitled "Catholic Social Action in the Philippines Prior to World War II" (1986) and its later iteration as a master's thesis "Aspects of Catholic Social Action in the Philippines Prior to World War II: The Contributions of Fr. Joseph Mulry, the Jesuits, and the Ateneo Alumni" (1986), both by Fr. Victor B. Ibabao.
