Scope and Contents
Robert S. Lloyd (1893-1960) was born in New York and entered the Society of Jesus in 1911. He was headmaster and rector of Georgetown Preparatory School (1929-1935) and spiritual director of Manresa-on-Severn (1935-1951). Lloyd was a close friend of FBI director J. Edgar Hoover and delivered the invocation at at least 39 commencements of the FBI academy. This folder contains correspondence with Lloyd, predominantly from Hoover in the 1950s (1938-1960).
