Scope and Contents
Ordered chronologically with the most recent documents on top. Consists of letters of the provincial, mostly to parish priests, and concerns problems found within the parishes. Letters address problems with bans of marriage, construction of churches, authorizations granted to priests for leave, and address the economic conditions and racial segregation in Southern Maryland. Ridge folders contain letters by and written to Horace McKenna; other folders address the application of Archdiocesan policies, particularly O'Boyle's policies related to integration.
