Scope and Contents

From the Series:

13 volumes of copies of letters dispatched by the Far East section of the Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith from 1723 to 1746, arranged chronologically. More than 1,800 pages of entries detail the management of the missions, such as raising money from the Vatican and in various European capitals; supplying religious for missionary duties; and entering into various disputes arising from the activities of priests belonging to a number of religious orders, including the Dominicans, the Franciscans, and the Society of Jesus.
