Scope and Contents
13 volumes of copies of letters despatched by the Far East section of the Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith from 1723 to 1745/6, arranged chronologically. More than 1,800 pages of entries give details on every aspect of management of the missions, from raising money from the Vatican and in various European capitals to supplying religious for missionary duties to entering into various disputes arising from the activities of priests belonging to a number of religious orders, including the Dominicans, the Franciscans, and the Society of Jesus.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval.
