Howard J. Harrison, 1910-12-07
Scope and Contents
The letters composing this sub-series of the Stewart Marsh Ellis papers document Ellis' relations with his friends, publishers, and readers, and provide a panorama of his extensive social circle. Many of the letters reflect Ellis' efforts in research through interviews or correspondence, for both his published books on William Harrison Ainsworth and George Meredith, as well as his interest in hauntings and apparitions. Letters tipped into the News Cuttings scrapbook or removed from it are described here, along with the location in the scrapbook, if applicable.
