Container Summary
Manuscript #387: ALS dated July 15 [1867](3 pages), from author Karl Blind (1826-1907), to Algernon Charles Swinburne. Reference to friend Scottish author David Masson (1822-1907) and the family of Masson's wife, Rosaline Orme. Also refers to his concerns for Swinburne's ill-health: "...I am...grieved to see from your note that you have had so serious an attack of illness. I trust the country air and quiet will do you good. You have before you a great future which however can only be wrought out to full beauty if your strength is preserved; and that this may be the case is the ardent wish of your sincere friends among whom I would be glad to be reckoned by you..."
