Manuscript #383: ALS dated April 23, 1866 (3 pages) from Rev. James Leigh Joynes (1824-1908), to Algernon Charles Swinburne, acknowledging receipt of Swinburne's "Atalanta on Calydon," (1866). Joynes had been Swinburne's headmaster at Eton (1849-1854). He ends his letter: "...I was attached to you in former times & I believe that your were attached to me..."
