Manuscript #353: Color print (cropped at top and creased at bottom) of caricature of Algernon Charles Swinburne, entitled, "Before Sunrise," by the artist Carlo Pellegrini (1839-1889), known as "Ape," published in Vanity Fair (November 1874). Includes ALS dated July 17, 1947 (2 pages + postmarked envelope) from Philip Gosse, son of Edmund Gosse, to John S. Mayfield, presenting the print and the issue of Vanity Fair.
