The file was acquired by Mayfield from Bett's widow, Ruth King Bett in 1971. Contents include: 1. ANS dated January 17 (no year) from Roger Howson, librarian, Columbia University, New York, to Walter Bett. Includes clipping of newspaper obituary (New York Times, April 23, 1962). 2. Clipping of "The Armada," by Algernon Charles Swinburne, published in The Fortnightly Review (August 1, 1888). 3. Clipping of "Swinburne: Personal Recollections," by Edmund Gosse, published in The Fortnightly Review, June 1909. 4. Clipping of "Swinburne's Lyrical Poetry," by Alice Meynell, published in The Dublin Review, July 1909. 5.
