Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The papers include a large quantity of Amrine's literary manuscripts, together with correspondence, print and near print material relating to a number of subjects, most importantly, atomic energy research and development.

Correspondents include: Albert Einstein, Hans Bethe, Harold Urey, Thomas Hart Benton and William Allen White. Other materials include a collection of black and white still photographs relating to Amrine's research interests and tape recorded interviews, used as background for a number of his books.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. For use of all manuscripts collections, researchers are advised to contact the Booth Family Center for Special Collections in advance of any visit.

Typed Manuscripts of essays and articles by Amrine on issues including psychology, observations on traveling in Europe, and suicide prevention. Contents also include two Published Articles of book reviews that were published in the New York Herald Tribune in 1965 and 1966, and a Typed Manuscript and Printed Article of material related to the 1966 gubernatorial candidacy of Win Rockefeller in Arkansas.
