Scope and Contents Note
The Ned O'Gorman Papers 4 comprise part of the personal papers generated by Ned O'Gorman (b. 1929), a noted American poet, author, and educator. This collection primarily contains lengthy drafts of O'Gorman's autobiography entitled, "Venerated Trinkets, Kept Memorials, and Things Lifted Up: A Volume of Autobiography." In addition, many other manuscripts written by O'Gorman are retained in this archive, which includes some of his poetry. Additional materials include letters with notable individuals, mauscripts by O'Gorman, printed materials by him, and his datebooks.
The Ned O'Gorman Papers 4 supplement prior accessions of the Ned O'Gorman Papers. The Ned O'Gorman Papers 4 are preserved in 7 archival boxes amounting to 4.5 linear feet of material.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval.
