This folder [the last of 9] consists of Parsons Papers general correspondence (1938-1954) of Patrick F. Scanlan, Managing Editor of "The [Brooklyn] Tablet." Items of interest include: letters (Aug. 2/Aug. 16, 1938) from Scanlan discuss Jews "buying off" anti-semitics; letter (Nov. 19, 1938) refers to Jewish power in the U.S.; typescript copy of review of Wilfrid Parsons' "Which Way, Democracy?"; letter (Jan. 20, 1940) has attachment which renders comments on issues addressed in Father Parsons' aforementioned book; typescript addresses allegations made by Scanlan concerning poor coverage and falsified reports of news events in Spain.
