This series consists of America Magazine General Correspondence. Within this series will be found folders filed by topic and/or names of specific individuals to and from whom correspondence was either addressed or received. In addition, one will occasionally find correspondence which predates the founding of America Magazine. This particular type of correspondence, normally addressed to Father Wynne, the founding editor, was incorporated into the America Magazine general file.

Container Summary
This folder consists of correspondence [and newsclippings] pertaining to the Pullman Porter Controversy (1927). Newsclippings relate role of A. Philip Randolph and the Brotherhood of the Sleeping Car Porters in the labor struggle against the Pullman Company. Items of interest include: a pamphlet entitled "Agreement Between the Pullman Company and Its Porter's and Maids (1926)." Also included are memoranda containing information about Pullman porter and maid rates as well as Pullman Company assets.
