This folder consists of the "Mc" Correspondence (1938) of Francis X. Talbot, S.J., Editor of America Magazine (1936-1944). Items of interest include: letter (Jan. 20) from Fr. Talbot expresses his assessment (i.e, personal opinion) of the New York City papers of the day; an attachment (Apr. 18) contains the Communist Party oath [here entitled the "Traitor's Oath"]; letter (Jul. 23) makes allegations against the WPA and other relief agencies; letter (Oct. 11) expresses pro-Franco sentiments.
