Container Summary

This folder contains the "J" Correspondence (1928-1941) of Francis X. Talbot, S.J., Editor of America Magazine (1936-1944). Several of these items date from his tenure as Literary Editor. Items of interest include: letter (Nov. 1, 1938) has an attachment which makes allegations of injustices perpetrated by the Jewish people; letter (Jan. 27, 1939) and attachments comment upon a bishop's invitation extended a Ku Klux Klan leader to attend the dedication of Atlanta's cathedral. Also includes correspondence with Johannes Joergenson, with a biographical sketch of the author.
