This folder consists of the "C" Correspondence (1938) of Francis X. Talbot, S.J., Editor of America Magazine (1936-1944). Items of interest include: letter (Jan. 26) has attached a letter from the Archbishop of New York, Patrick [Cardinal] Hayes; letter (July 10) to the Editor of the Louisville, Kentucky "Courier-Journal" discusses the bias of the Jesuits in the Spanish Civil War; letter (July 12) concerns Communists and Communism; letter (Oct. 25) and attachments deal with the vivisection controversy as does the letter of (Nov. 5); letter (Nov. 21) has attachment which addresses, among other things, birth control.
