Items of interest include: letter (Aug. 26) concerns the establishment of a Catholic daily paper; letter (Nov. 20/Nov. 5) speaks of job discrimination on the basis of denomination; letter (Nov. 28/Dec. 2) has a short bibliographical listing of books and articles on the history of the Jesuits in colonial Pennsylvania; letter (Dec. 10) has attached a draft of a petition to Rome requesting a moderation of the fasting laws applied to clergy before mass and children before holy communion.
