This folder contains the "L" Correspondence (1933-1934) of Wilfrid Parsons, S.J., Editor of America Magazine. Items of interest include: post card (June 8, 1933) from a Jewish convert has envelope attached containing a printed item entitled: "Convert Appeals to Other Hebrews to Follow Christ"; letter (June 15, 1933) from Father Parsons to a reader states the Church's position on capital punishment; letter (Oct. 4, 1933) contains a list of books on Socialism and Communism written by Catholic [or those expounding the view] and non-Catholic writers; letter (Mar. 31, 1934) defends Father Charles Coughlin; letter (Oct. 14) addresses persecution in Mexico; letter (Nov. 24, 1934) from a priest denounces absence of religious freedom and presence of religious bias in a school for orphan boys.
