Items of interest include: letter (Jan. 2) relates events in Mexico and the governmental attempt to limit number of priests; letter (Jan. 27) concerns treatment of Jesuits in Spain; letter (Mar. 16) speaks of the Index Librorum Prohibitorum and addresses briefly the matter of censorship; letter (Apr. 7) from a Protestant makes biased statements against Catholics; letter (May 24) speaks of the American Party as the answer to the Depression; letter (Oct. 14) has attachments which address the Catholic in American politics.
